Pug LifeⓇ and Ask Chewie have been around since 1999 when a group of friends decided to make t-shirts for Chewie's birthday. They were so popular that Pug Life was born with a whole line of funny Pug Life shirts and What Would Chewie Do? everything! From the early days at farmer markets, we expanded our designs and our fans, creating fun t-shirts, frames, candles, and clocks for pugs and their owners.
We later took advantage of the POD trend in the early 2000s and ran a successful CafePress store for many years (you can still find some designs there). Ask Chewie designs were featured on TV shows, on various actors, and all over the world. We hope to bring some of the more popular designs back.
A Pug Life vinyl figure line was spawned and before long, hundreds of little pugs were gracing shelves everywhere. Pug Life figures are currently out of stock, except for wholesale orders. We expect to have more in stock in early 2025.
Over the last 20-some years, Pug Life and Ask Chewie have moved from New York City to San Diego to Santa Monica and now Seattle. The pugs and city may have changed, but we still strive to create sustainable, quality products you can be proud to wear and place in your home.
Chewie passed away in 2014, but his legacy lives on in clothing, accessories, home goods, and toys. All pug, all the time. No other dogs need apply. (actually we love all dogs and cats <3)

Pug Life is not related to the "Pug Life Harness." We were around for well over two decades before they launched their company. They are now operating under a new name and we wish them luck. Please contact that company directly; we cannot help you with orders or harnesses. If you are looking for a quality pet harness, we use Puppia on all of our pugs.
While most of our items feature pugs, we also offer a range of items that can be personalized for any pet (or human). There's even a few pug friends on our popular designs
Current Pug Haus Pugs include King Lenore, Lulu, and Patty Labelle. We also have two leopard geckos who have been with us for over 23 years.
While we're currently located in Seattle, Washington, we work with partners all over the world. We only work with ethical companies using the latest sustainable techniques. This makes some of our items more expensive, but the quality and lower footprint make them worth every penny.
