These lamps come with a power cord adaptor type that is supported only in the USA and Canada (Type A plug with 2x flat pins) - Not Suitable for EU or International plugs without an adapter.

The lamp comes inside of the box with the shade packed upside down. When you remove it from the box follow the instructions printed on the inner flaps. Simply remove the plastic ring, remove the shade, turn the shade right side up, and then secure it to the socket with the plastic ring again.
Re-shippable tall lamp boxes have been developed in conjunction with the UPS testing lab for both keeping the lamps safe at and the same time making the box as compact as possible. Boxes are made of partly recycled board, they have instructions printed on the box itself to avoid printing an extra instruction sheet, and they can be re-used as waste-paper baskets. In addition, they come with a pop-up carrying handle for easy transportation.
