These lamps come with a power cord adaptor type that is supported only in the USA and Canada (Type A plug with 2x flat pins) - Not Suitable for EU plugs.
The lamp comes inside of the box with the shade packed upside down. When you remove it from the box follow the instructions printed on the inner flaps. Simply remove the plastic ring, remove the shade, turn the shade right side up, and then secure it to the socket with the plastic ring again.
