Today there is a hole in our heart.
Lola, our first Pug Butt, passed away on May 9, 2023. Our heart is broken. She was our first little girl and was like the energizer bunny right up until the moment she passed, running out to the car after a routine eye appointment. We don't know what happened, perhaps her little heart gave way, or it was just her time. She was surrounded by love, and we will miss her forever.
We had a good week, we had a mani/pedi day and got her nails short, cuddled for hours upon hours on the couch, went on a nice walk in the sun, relaxed in the yard, and went for a car ride! I didn't know it would be our last moments together, but each is special.
The Lola candle is what started us experimenting with Pug Butt candles a few years ago. All proceeds from the Lola candles and diffusers in 2023 will be donated to Old Dog Haven in memory of Lola. Future proceeds will be directed to other animal charities. We will also find some other ways to honor Lola in the community and post those here--a bench, a plaque, a paw print at the zoo....
My heart is broken and I can't really think of much at the moment.
